Three days after Vladimir Putin President of Russia announced the launch of a large-scale immunization program against Covid-19, the vaccination centers in Moscow started giving shots to the recipients who had signed up for it. The vaccine designed in Russia is yet to conclude the prescribed advanced studies required for guaranteeing its effectiveness. The advanced study is essential to check the safety of the vaccine by testing it against the scientific protocols that have been already established.
On Wednesday, President Putin said that more than 2 million doses of Sputnik V vaccine will be available for use in the coming days. From the latter half of the next week, the medical teachers and workers could start their work of immunizing full-fledged.
The capital city Moscow is currently responsible for more than one-fourth of the new infections that are being reported every day in the country. As the Vaccination centers are ready for opening on Saturday, the curve has moved even more ahead than the position it was at. Municipal workers, teachers, and doctors were asked to book a slot for receiving the vaccination. On Friday after the system started operating, more than 5000 people signed up for the vaccine as per Sergei Sobyanin the Mayor of Moscow.
Tatyana Kirsanova was a person who received the vaccine. He said that the clinical trials have not yet ended, this gave him some doubts on the matter of getting vaccinated. Still, he decided to take every possible measure to protect himself from the disease.
