Us President Joe Biden Honors 500,000 Americans Who Died From COVID-19

Five hundred candles were lighted up around the white house for a moment of silence to pay respect to the 500,000 Americans who’ve died due to the cause of covid-19.

“Today we mark a truly heartbreaking milestone: 500,071 dead,” Biden stated at some point of remarks withinside the Cross Hall of the White House before the moment of silence. More Americans have died in one year in this pandemic than in World War I, World War II and the Vietnam War combined within it. The nation has suffered more loss than any country on earth.”

The United States surpassed the awful milestone Monday in keeping with the Johns Hopkins University dashboard. The toll comes much less than a year after the coronavirus outbreak was declared a pandemic.

During his remarks Monday, Biden said he is aware of what it’s like not to be there while a loved one passes away and to be there “holding their hands, as they look in your eye and they slip away.”

The president mentioned that he obtained a letter from a lady whose father died from COVID-19 last Easter and how she and her circle of relatives have no longer been capable of adequately mourning his demise because of the pandemic.
