KiMohsen Fakhrizadeh was regarded as one of the biggest masterminds of the controversial nuclear program running in Iran. Apparently his car was ambushed in Tehran’s east district after which he died. The pictures shot from the scene showed that the windshield of the car was shattered and there was blood on the road next to the car.
The state media of Iran said that the death of Fakhrizadeh looks like it was an assassination. ISNA which is a semi-official news agency, quoted Amir Hatami who is the Defense Minister of Iran saying that the nuclear scientist was involved in a firefight which was succeeded by a targeted gunfight. His vehicle also exploded on the spot of the gunfight. Zarif, the foreign minister of Iran said that the death was a cowardly act. He also said that this act had serious indications of Israel’s involvement. When requested for a comment, the office of Benjamin Netanyahu Prime Minister of Israel, refused to comment.
In the elite categorized Revolutionary Guards, Fakhrizadeh headed the research center for new technology. He was the front face of the country’s nuclear program.
Zarif tweeted that a famous Iranian scientist was murdered by terrorists. He also said that such a cowardly act indicates the role of Israel. Iran needs the help of the international community, especially the European Union for condemning the act of terror motivated by Israel.
Donald Trump President of the United States retweeted a famous journalist of Israel Yossi Melman saying that Fakhrizadeh, who was wanted by Mossad for many years for running a secret military program of Israel, was assassinated east of Tehran in Damavand. Absard city was the exact location where the assassination happened.
