As we all know, Bill Gates is a wealthy man and can spend money on tasks throughout the globe — it has also made him a common goal for conspiracy theories.
Recently, social media customers are claiming Gates is operating to block the sun’s rays to fight global warming.
One instance is that this April 8 Facebook post reads, “Let me get this straight. Bill Gates is working on a way to block the sun’s rays, so we prevent global warming. On the opposite hand, we’re anticipated to visit solar-powered energy. So how does that
work???”

The task revolves around the idea of geoengineering, large-scale efforts to lessen the consequences of weather change — commonly temporarily — on oceans, soils, and the atmosphere.
At its core, SCoPeX seeks better to recognize the efficacy and dangers of sun geoengineering. To do so, scientists want to decide if aerosols might reduce or get rid of ozone loss without growing the threat of different hazards.
The experiment includes launching a high-altitude balloon approximately 12 miles into the atmosphere, consistent with its website. A small quantity of material is then established to create a “perturbed air mass” about 100 yards extensive and a half-mile
long. Instruments carried through the balloon monitor that area for adjustments in aerosol density, atmospheric chemistry, and mild scattering.
In other words, it’s an entirely small-scale challenge, a long way from the weather-changing claims about it which have surfaced on social media.
After Reuters mentioned at the attempt in December 2020, the conservative Western Journal posted a piece titled “Bill Gates’ Savior Complex Spirals Out of Control, Funds Sun-Dimming Plan To Save the Human Race,” the author portrays the task as a hazard
to humanity.
