McDonald’s latest celebrity collaboration is here for a limited time.
Less than a month after BTS released “Butter”, their new English-language single, the K-pop superstars’ BTS Meal arrives at McDonald’s chains in the United States, Canada, Bahamas and eight other countries Wednesday.
The meal consists of a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, a medium Coke, medium fries, and the first time in the United States- Cajun and Sweet Chili dipping sauces. McDonald’s says the sauces are inspired by famous recipes from its restaurants in Japan and South Korea, where the boy band is from.
The meal will be up for grabs in the U.S. through June 30 and arrives Thursday in 10 additional countries. It will be available in 50 countries in June and July.
Customers in the U.S. can order the BTS Meal through mobile order in the McDonald’s app, drive-throughs, restaurants or the chain’s delivery service.
BTS pop star, Jungkook said in a statement, “McDonald’s is like a friend who has always been there for me. Fries, soft drinks and burgers- this is the definition of happiness.”
McDonald’s will release a new television commercial Wednesday evening featuring the band’s song “Butter.” The food giant said it also would “reveal the unprecedented digital surprises each week featuring the band” through their app.
Starting at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, BTS and McDonald’s will drop a merchandise line on the Weverse app.
McDonald’s said in a press release that “the complete collection is inspired by some of the hand-picked, crave-able menu items from the BTS Meal, with dynamite threads like socks, sandals, purple bathrobes and hoodies.”
To shop the merchandise, you need to install the Weverse Shop app and create an account.
