Sources have recently said that Apple is working on a mono cell battery that could be a breakthrough in the industry. However, a trusted analyst of Apple products Ming-Chi Kuo has released a special note about the Apple Car in which it is mentioned that the current market is very bullish about an Apple Car. Realistically, Kuo says that 2025 could be the very earliest that Apple could launch its special vehicle. Even a date around 2028 or later than that could be very practical.
The three main issues with the Apple car as mentioned by Kuo is listed below:
- Uncertainty about the supplier
- Uncertainty about the launch time
- Specifications of the vehicle
- Uncertainty about the competitiveness of Apple in the self-driving and EV market
Is the launch of the Apple Car pushed back?
The special note by Kuo says that according to his previous predictions, the Apple car could be launched between 2023 and 2025. However, the recent prediction notes that the launch date of the car could be pushed back significantly. Kuo did the latest survey, according to which even if the development of the car begins this year and that the teams work according to the prescribed schedule, it would still take around 2025 to 2027 for the launch of the car to happen. He also says that the standards of Apple are already very high and the self-driving car and EV industry moves very fast in terms of changes. This means that the launch of the car could happen anywhere after 2028 as well. Kuo also says that the final specs of the car could be probably set by 2025.
