The legal team of Trump’s campaign were believing that the Republican-favoring judges would show sympathy to Trump’s allegations of fraud in elections. However, the records are showing different conclusions.
The judges who took office after the appointment by Democratic and Republican presidents, have shown unity in deciding against the allegations of voter fraud made by Trump’s campaign. Every case ruled by them has been equally dismissed. The cases that were brought by attorneys who seeked invalidate the results of the election and the legal team of Trump’s campaign were equally struck down by every judge in the battleground states due to lack of evidence.
In the reviews done by news channels, it was found that zero judges who identified themselves as Republicans before being appointed to the position or who were appointed by presidents belonging to Republican party, have ruled in favour of the fraud allegations made by the campaign. Total 7 cases out of 13 were assigned to such Republican-inclining judges. This review is collected for the results mentioned until the date of December 3, 2020. Trump’s campaign and many independent attorneys filed lawsuits in Michigan, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Wisconsin, Arizona, and Nevada.
According to the expectations of the people, the federal judges must not openly support a biased agenda. Even then, Trump has always boasted about the high number of conservative or Republican-incling judges appointed by him. This implied that he was expecting them to favour him in the cases relating to him. In fact, in many legal questions that were substantive, these judges have concluded the results in his favour. However, in the case of election fraud which directly aims to strike at the bullseye of democracy, they took a different turn. This stance taken by such judges speaks in volumes about the election.
