A mixed of unemployed veterans and minors got a fantastic record victory of 4-0 in the American qualifiers. The veteran 3rd told he’d always choose the Olympics over a returning back to the majors. After hitting the ball out of the diamond for the final win over Venezuela, the entire team huddled in joy.
They bounced up and down on the field and enjoyed the moment as they had won a title fight. Todd Frazier was starred for the team in the Americans Qualifier. Frazier said that earning a spot in the Summer Games of Tokyo was the best moment of his baseball carrier. His carrier achievements include two All-stars selection and a time of 11 years in the major leagues. He shared his extreme happy emotion when he knew he’d play for the country on an international level.
Team USA prevailed in all four of its games in the tournament with a collective score of 29-10. The US team joined with South Korea, Israel, Japan, and Mexico as a division of the six-team Olympic field. In the last five Summer sports event, the US won one gold medal in the year 2000. And it also got the award of two bronze medals in the years 1996 and 2008. Mike Scioscia, the manager of the team, conveyed the intenseness of the last couple of weeks.
Manager’s thoughts
He said that “the last couple of weeks have been so very intense for my team and me”. All the team and the supporters celebrated the win with happiness in their way. Some yelled in joy while some sprayed alcohol on each other.
After being released by the Pittsburgh Pirates, Frazier said that it was the best Plan-B ever. The best Plan-B ever was participating in the team of USA. He seemed very motivated and happy to play further for his country. He also added, ”Playing for your country is not a job”. And it is not a job; it is pride and many things that people don’t feel regularly. Therefore, the team felt motivated to perform well in the summer games of Tokyo.
